Every child has a spark. Ignite their dreams.

Updated: Nov 9

As we wrap up the first full year of our program to empower children by expanding their access to activities and opportunities, we are pleased to share why our work is so important for youth and the communities they live in. Scroll down to read about Ki'Marra's spark.

KI'MARRA'S SPARK: Ki’Marra, age 17, has been dancing with Legendary Elite Dance Team for several years. Her goal is to continue excelling in dance and majorette as a pathway to college. As expenses have grown out of control, her family sought assistance from the Hous Foundation to be sure Ki’Marra could continue dancing. Her mother reports dance gives Ki’Marra confidence. Her skills continue to improve. She recently auditioned for the Short North Stage production of the Wiz and will be a member of the Dance Ensemble!

Every child has a spark.

Help us ignite their dreams.

Every child has a spark inside them—a passion waiting to be discovered. The Hous Foundation expands access so children can participate in sports, arts, and other activities that ignite confidence, joy, and lifelong skills. When you give, you’re not just funding an activity. You’re unlocking possibility. You’re igniting a spark that can light up a lifetime.

A few examples of how your support helps:

$500 supports a competitive dancer for one year

$350 supports one youth football player for the season

$200 pays for one month of martial arts instruction

$125 covers one month of piano lessons

$75 helps buy equipment for a soccer player
