OUR STORY

In November 2017, Annie Niewenhous and her children, Isabelle and Parker, lost their lives in an act of domestic violence. Their family established the Hous Foundation to honor, remember, and continue their legacy.

Annie was an avid crafter and sewer, a nature-lover, and was passionate about health and nutrition.  She spent a summer working at Yellowstone National Park, finished several triathlons and coached other triathletes, obtained a PhD in nutrition, and even sewed her own wedding dress.  Her love of arts and crafts was evident in all of the things she created with and for her children, and her life is dotted with endless examples of passions and pursuits.  Annie dedicated her professional life to helping others overcome serious health issues and get their lives back.  She touched many lives through her compassion and humor, and her optimism.  The Hous Foundation continues her legacy of improving the lives of others.
