Please note: Effective November 10, 2025. Due to overwhelming demand this year, we are pausing the scholarship program until 2026 so we can prepare to serve more children in the new year. Please complete this contact form to receive information about how to apply for support in 2026.

Hous Foundation Scholarships
Hous Foundation Scholarships pay for the costs of participation in extracurricular and non-school activities.

  • For school aged students, K-12

  • Payment will be made directly to the activity provider

  • Application requires connection with a Maryland or central Ohio non-profit, governmental agency, or school district services office.

  • Please note: We are unable to approve applications for which the connected or referring organization is also the recipient of the funding. For example: if you are applying to participate in a dance school, you cannot list that dance school as the referring organization.

Fun comes first, but...
There are many benefits to participating in non-school activities: better grades, higher attendance rates, lower rates of risk behaviors, improved mental health, access to future opportunities, development of personal skills, healthy relationships, and more.

Please consider helping us make non-school activities available to all children.
