Hous Foundation Scholarships
Hous Foundation Scholarships pay for the costs of participation in extracurricular and non-school activities.

For elementary and middle school students

Up to $500 per child per year

Payment will be made directly to the activity provider

Application requires connection with a Maryland or central Ohio non-profit, governmental agency, or school district services office.​

Please note: We are unable to approve applications for which the connected or referring organization is also the recipient of the funding. For example: if a camp counselor refers a child, the scholarship application cannot be attendance at the referrer's own camp.
Fun comes first, but...
There are many benefits to participating in non-school activities: better grades, higher attendance rates, lower rates of risk behaviors, improved mental health, access to future opportunities, development of personal skills, healthy relationships, and more.
